an attempt to assassinate former PM Imran Khan was made on 11/3/2022
Khan was injured but survived the deadly attack due to Ibtisam Hassan
one person was killed and several people were injured
the alleged shooter and two other suspects are in police custody
Khan, without any evidence, accused 3 top persons behind a plot to kill him
police hasn’t prepared the FIR yet because the accused are no commoners
Prime Minster, Interior Minister, & Major Gen (senior intelligence official)
(Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, & Faisal Naseer)
Khan’s clever ploy has created a dilemma for the establishment
if the three accused resign then they’ll be considered guilty
if they don’t, Khan will be out on the streets with his supporters
“As long as these three men don’t resign, you have to protest, against unfairness, you must do a jihad against them, jihad means to stand against injustice.”
of course, none of them will resign – unless, things go damn bloody
ex prime minister Nawaz Sharif was removed by the Military in 1999
back in power in 2013, Nawaz Sharif was disqualified from his post
the reason: his name in the Panama Papers and other corruption charges
in 2022, Nawaz wants legal action against Khan for maligning the Army
why support the Army which always usurps the civil government’s power?
because the Army’s blessings right now are on little brother Shehbaz
Pakistan‘s tragedy – for political gain politicians curry favor with the Army
Army in turn gets more bold, corrupt, interferential, and harmful
in 2018 elections, the army supported Khan who became prime minister
but there was a fallout between the Army and Khan
in 2022, in a first, Khan was removed in a no-confidence vote
Khan refused to accept the verdict but was forced by the Army to respect
but then Khan decided otherwise and came out openly against the Army
Khan has fascistic tendencies and and can be faulted for 100s of follies
but for one reason he cannot be faulted – i.e., standing up against the Army
Army has done immense harm by controlling foreign & defense affairs
now the question is about the assassination attempt on Khan -whodunit?
it’s doubtful Shehbaz regime, dependent on Army, would do that
the Army wouldn’t do a half-baked job of just hurting Khan on the leg
if the Army wanted Khan eliminated from the scene it could have done it
the Army & its intelligence agencies are good at beating/silencing its critics
Arshad Sharif, Saleem Shahad, Asad Ali Toor, Hamid Mir, & many others
could it be that the Army wanted to warn Khan to shut his mouth
but Khan’s popularity and the divided country is not the opportune time
because then Pakistan would turn into a river of blood
the alleged attacker Naveed claims Khan hurt his religious feelings
which is pure bullshit because Khan is a born again Muslim
it is not believable that Naveed acted on his own, as he claims
but if Naveed acted on his own then, surely, the cae stands closed
but if not then we’re back to the same question, who has done it
who would take such a risk in the volatile Pakistan
only one force could take such a risk – the Army
is it probable the Army did it?
Khan is an obnoxious egotistical narcissist who wants to gain total power
but one has to admit he’s only the one who has the guts to face the Army
will Khan’s victory against the Army, if it happens, bring any good?
no. Pakistan will turn more Islamic/fascist/nationalist/more self destructive
but if Khan is silenced, would it be a good omen for the country
for the common people, it would be the same misery and wretchedness
