the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared on her tweeter account:
“While we have made progress much more needs to be done to improve people’s lives.”
US is like that broken road which you always notice is under repair
since 1776, the US leaders have been working to improve people’s lives
seems people are too stubborn not letting leaders transform their lives
even at the age of 82, Pelosi has to work hard
has to break her promise of not running again, to save “democracy”
“This election is crucial: nothing less is at stake than our Democracy.”
same crap you hear again and again — i.e., democracy is in danger
one more term would permit Pelosi to secure her future a bit more
her wealth of $120 million would see some more millions
making money — through any means — is acceptable to her
though US Representative, progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, differs:
“It is absolutely ludicrous that members of Congress can hold and trade individual stock while in office. The access and influence we have should be exercised for the public interest, not our profit. It shouldn’t be legal for us to trade individual stock with the info we have.”
Pelosi says she’s in Congress for the “children”
which is 50% false and 50% true
it’s not other children she’s running for, but, for her own children
to be precise, one of her own child, Christine Pelosi
Eric Ting points out that Pelosi would resign her seat for her daughter
i.e., Pelosi will give up her seat some time after winning the next term
thus Christine could win in a district where her mother has 80% support
but nationwide, August 2021 poll found Pelosi more unpopular than Trump
53% people had negative views about Pelosi compared to 49% about Trump
now that is fodder for thought, for a thinking person …
