US Congress, media, and others are in overdrive to demonize Putin
although murderers worst than Putin are residing in the US
the ones who could criticize those murderers, instead hobnob with them
besides, they themselves are warmongers too
one such person is Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, a professor at Yale University
he, along with Steven Tian, made a list of foreign businesses in Russia
so as to put pressure on those businesses to leave Russia
- 150 companies have totally left Russia
- 180 have suspended business — hoping to return
- 80 companies have reduced business & have stopped new investments
- 27 companies have refused to leave Russia
Sonnenfeld, with a tinge of thuggish arrogance says
“[CEOs of companies are asking us:] why we didn’t have them on the right list, and what they needed to do to either clarify or actually take a more strong stance.”
one wonders how come Sonnenfeld never asked companies to leave Israel
the country which has killed, maimed, tortured, displaced Palestinians
did Sonnefeld ever ask corporations to leave the US because of its wars
against Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and so many others?
the guy is through and through a cruel person …
when reminded of the economic misery ordinary Russians will face
his quick sadistic reply was
“This is one step away from open warfare.” “This is a last-ditch effort. You’re helping those workers by not having [the West] dropping bombs and shooting them.”
that is, it’s better to starve them to death rather than bombing them
Central Asians will suffer the sanctions too as Vijay Prashad points out …
nowhere is Sonnenfeld talking about negotiating peace with the Russians
why?
is it that they desire total destruction of that country?
a regime change more in line with the US Capitalist system?
