the four day Democratic Party convention began on Monday
it had some Republicans too speaking out against President Trump
it looked more like a system-saving convention than a Democratic one
so many establishment Democrats were invited
but the Democrats who really are for the common people
who wants to really change the corrupt unjust unequal system
very few of them were there
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was just given a little over a minute
former Ohio Governor John Kasich, a Republican, was there too
antiabortionist Kasich had the nerve to criticize AOC in an interview
“… AOC gets outsized publicity doesn’t mean she represents the Democratic Party. She’s just a part, just some member of it. …”
AOC, a very articulate/logical person, hit back on Twitter
“It’s great that Kasich has woken up & realized the importance of supporting a Biden-Harris ticket. I hope he gets through to GOP voters.
“Yet also, something tells me a Republican who fights against women’s rights doesn’t get to say who is or isn’t representative of the Dem party.”
major speakers went after Trump – and rightly so
but does it mean they’re any better than Trump?
somewhat
of course, the Democratic leaders are much less obnoxious than Trump
but then they’re are also much less transparent than Trump
the Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris said:
“I took on the biggest banks, and helped take down one of the biggest for-profit colleges.I know a predator when I see one.”
Harris didn’t say that she is getting lots of money from big corporations
Biden campaign raised $48 million after her selection as VP candidate
“We will speak truths.”
Harris didn’t say if she’s still carrying the stick she had as California AG
she used to threaten parents and children with jail for missing school
watch her evil laugh and bragging in the above video
it reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s similar laugh at Qaddafi’s murder
my youngest nephew told me:
“Kamala Harris is Hillary Clinton without the Clinton Foundation.”
so true
Presidential nominee Biden touched on inequality and billionaires, a little
“And we can pay for these investments by ending loopholes and the president’s $1.3 trillion tax giveaway to the wealthiest 1 percent and
the biggest, most profitable corporations, some of which pay no tax at all.
“Because we don’t need a tax code that rewards wealth more than it rewards work. I’m not looking to punish anyone. Far from it. But it’s long past time the wealthiest people and the biggest corporations in this country paid their fair share.”
as if the billionaires would heed his call and pay the taxes
they don’t give a shit unless you grab and throw them behind the bars
Biden’s real philosophy is summed up in this one sentence
“[My father said:] Joey, I don’t expect the government to solve my problems, but I expect it to understand them.”
yes, the Biden government won’t do much for the common people
Biden/Kamala government will just understand your problems
it’s up to Sanders, AOC, Warren, and others to get the most for people
