What is the aim of the peace prize? So that the recipient promotes peace, I assume. He should make efforts to avoid war, bring the warring parties to the negotiation table. Elie Wiesel has done none of the above.
Wiesel has soiled the significance of his Nobel Peace Prize.
in 1993, Wiesel pushed Bill Clinton for war at the dedication ceremony of the Holocaust Museum. I quote, “Mr. President, I cannot not tell you something. I have been in the former Yugoslavia last fall. I cannot sleep since for what I have seen.”
I bet he slept like a baby after the United States bombed the hell out of Yugoslavia
In 2003, during a meeting with Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush, Wiesel compared Iraq to Nazi Germany.
Daniel McGowan gives an accurate description of this hypocrite:
“He is a multi-millionaire, but carefully cultivates the image of a perpetually disheveled professor. Although he has won the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Guardian of Zion Medal, and the Oprah Book Award, many people in Israel resent the way he has used the Holocaust to make his living. Some Israelis refer to him as a ‘sho’an.’ The word ‘sho’a’ is Hebrew for Holocaust; with the suffix it indicates a professional specializing in the subject. So it is both funny and derogatory, not unlike Norman Finkelstein referring to Wiesel as the ‘resident clown’ of the Holocaust circus.”
in 2009, he wrote a letter to the leaders of France, Russia, Britain, Germany, and the US. Below is an excerpt.
“The cruel and oppressive regime of ‘Supreme Leader’ Ali Khamenei and President Ahmadinejad, whose irresponsible and senseless nuclear ambitions threaten the entire world, continues to wage a shameless war against its own people.”
he lied about Iran’s nuclear threat. The word “ambition” means to have a desire to achieve some objective. It does not mean the the desire is fulfilled. On the other hand, Israel is a nuclear state
And in a statement of profound bigotry, Wiesel spurned two major religions:
“For me, the Jew that I am, Jerusalem is above politics. It is mentioned more than six hundred times in Scripture [that is, the Hebrew Bible]—and not a single time in the Koran.”

a genocidal Yahweh:
“However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy[a] them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you. Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God.”
And nobody’s calling Wiesel a Jewish fanatic?
Just last Monday, Wiesel was at the Museum with Obama, and this time he blundered even worse! He wants the President to take care of Iran and Syria; in simple words, bomb and ruin both countries.
The Israel Lobby in the United States, the Lobby-controlled US Congress, the Republicans, the Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and his long time friend, Israeli premier Binyamin Netanyahu all want the US to start another war front. The war-noose around Obama’s neck is tightening. Wiesel has tightened it even more and Obama is trying his best to avoid more US involvement. What was Obama thinking at the Museum?
It will indeed be a miracle if Obama survives this onslaught, that is, getting reelected without waging a war against Iran.
