Good Jobs LA

2011 has been THE Year of Protest. We began this spring in response to the continued attacks on the 99%. We stood with grocery workers fighting to keep their health benefits. Then we gathered as a community to demand our Congressional members pass the American Jobs Act. When Congress failed to side with 99%, we took to the streets, to make public our disapproval. Time after time—we’ve stood in solidarity with our Occupy brothers and sisters, families that are the victims of predatory lending and many other folks that are fighting to make ends meet. While our budgets dwindle, the 1% continue to line their pockets with unpaid tax dollars and loopholes.1

Where’s the justice? If we don’t fight, the gains that we have made on behalf of the 99% will disappear.2

Will 2012 be a year of victory for the 99%?

If each one of us commits to the work of the coming year, we can win. Will you rise to the occasion? If so, click here to help shape the plan.

In 2011, tens of thousands have fought for Good Jobs here in LA.3 As we continue to push, we need to work more closely together. Please take 5 minutes to sign up for upcoming events, take on leadership roles and share your ideas. In doing so, you help shape “Plan 2012.” Your voice does matter if we are going to win for the 99% in 2012.

On Saturday, you’ll receive the Good Jobs LA year in review video. Let’s celebrate our hard work and move forward to make 2012 our year.
