(Songs from one of the best movies made in 1965, “Guide”, starring Waheeda Rehman and Dev Anand. Lata Mangeshkar and Mohd Rafi sang the songs while the music is by Sachin Dev Burman and the lyrics are by Shailendra. This was the first commercial movie in India which showed the heroine as a strong and bold woman who left her husband for another man. The film was based on R. K. Narayan’s story of the same name.
