I offer this video as a “staff pick” for two reasons. First, it is a succinct, understandable, and in my view correct assessment of the topics addressed. And second, in the spirit of staff (or staff emeritus) picks revealing something about the picker, a look at this video will provide a feeling for the environment in which I and Robin Hahnel arrived at our feelings about the importance of vision and, in particular, our views of economic vision. Such things are hard to assess, but I think the largest personal influence on our development in the direction we took was Noam Chomsky.
For what it is worth, at the same time as I am posting this video as a staff pick, I also submitted an article to ZNetwork, on a closely related topic, issues of Marxism related to issues of Leninism. That may be of interest as well -titled Thinking About Marxism and Socialism.
