Britain is now restricted to one time zone
(a kind of balm for the lost glory is BOTs or UKOTs with 9 time zones)
economically, Britain lost its 5th largest economy position to India in 2022
high food/energy prices have forced 11% or 5.6 mil Brits to go without food
50% of britons are worried about food
the children are experiencing hunger and other miseries too
Catherine Middleton, the Princess of Wales, pretends she’s working
her work is related to future of children under the ages of five
after talking with experts for more than a decade, she penned an article:
“If we are going to create a healthier and happier society for future generations, we must start by understanding and acknowledging the unique importance of the first five years of life.
she didn’t need to waste her useless time talking to “wide range of experts”
the Princess of Wales could have just checked out Edmund W. Gordon
Edmund W. Gordon, an influential psychologist, worked with HSP
Johnson goverment’s fedarrly funded program was initiated in 1965
in a 2011 interview he talked to Monitor about Head Start Program
Gordon points out how HSP avoided attacking the core problem
“It has become identified as a child development project and we had thought of it as a family and community development project. From the beginning, we had as our central target poor children, but we thought that the way to do that was through strengthening the families and communities from which those kids came. The core concept was to greatly improve the environments and opportunities for learning. The community development part of it, I think, was perceived by the politicians as politically threatening because some of the projects became instruments of political action. Those parts were pretty much stripped from Head Start and the concentration became exclusively on early education programs for kids.”
even though Professor Gordon is talking on the US government program
the above argument is universally true, including Britain
Middleton concluded her article in the Telegraph in these words:
“That is why I am determined to continue to shine a light on this issue and to do everything I can to secure much greater focus on those first crucial few years for the youngest members of our society – they are, after all, our future.”
so if the Duchess is serious for the future of next generation
concentrate on families and communities
focus on bettering the economic/social/political conditions
the result will be a bright future for children
