in 1995, Itamar Ben-Gvir, age 19, declared
“We got to his [then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s]
car. We’ll get to him, too.“
Israel Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated on Nov. 4, 1995
Ben-Gvir belonged to Kach
the Israeli government considered Kach a terrorist organization
it was banned in 1995
the reason for killing: Rabin’s signing of Oslo Accords
despite the fact that Oslo Accords favored the Israelis
one of the most famous Palestinians Edward Said pointed out the reality:
“[Oslo is] an instrument of Palestinian surrender… a kingdom of illusions, with Israel firmly in command. Clearly the PLO has transformed itself from a national liberation movement into a kind of small-town government… What Israel has gotten is official Palestinian consent to continued occupation.”
the extremist Israelis’ agenda:
“Our party calls for cleansing the region extending from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean from the goyim (non-Jews) and thus guaranteeing a Jewish majority of no less than 90% throughout the land of Israel.”
about a month ago, mid Oct. 2022, Ben-Gvir pulled a gun on Palestinians
now Ben-Gvir’s party is join Netanyahu’s party to form a government
“I’ve matured, I’ve become more moderate and I’ve come to understand life is more complicated,” he wrote. “All of us need personal security. … And yes, the Arab citizens of Israel are also entitled to protection and to feeling safe.”
the big question is: how long will Ben-Gvir stay matured and moderate?
the answer is: for a very short period
