authoritarian and fascist leaders usually act on whim
they don’t give a damn about their actions grim
their aim is to scare people and enhance the power grip
to continue their rein of bigotry, blunders, or a blip
since coming to power, nothing remarkable has Modi done
while his goons scare/kill minorities mercilessly he blames none
the Dalits, Muslims, Christians suffer the Hindu zealots’ hate
while Premier Modi affects more than a billion people’s fate
on 8 Nov 2016, Modi and his coterie gave people a shock
his govt banned Rs 500 and 1,000 notes, this was no crock
stated aim: stop tax evasion/corruption for economy's sake
and stop terrorist funding their work with currency fake
Rs 500 & Rs 1000 notes made 86% of the total currency cash
99.3% of currency came back to banks as it wasn't fake trash
Modi hoped a huge amount of fake & illegal money it will get
alas the foolish venture was nothing but misery-causing bet
100+ people died & 100s of million endured anguish
people’s finances & country’s economy was state of languish
the rulers, and Modi’s buddies Ambani & Adani, did great
but ordinary mortals helplessly blamed and cursed their fate
