real humanitarians work for change within or without
the phony ones do it for publicity and enhanced clout
US actor George Clooney is one of those great phonies
who selectively targets countries with his close cronies
in February, Clooney, along with his wife Amal, met Merkel
to offer his backing for Germany’s 1.1 million refugee circle
only 10,000 Syrian refugees the US is going to take in
why is Clooney not fighting the bigots’ anti-refugee din?
because it’s always easy to put spy satellites on Sudan
but is always tough and messy to fight the domestic clan
in addition, you also avoid unpopularity among your fans
which lets the box office cash fill your pockets and hands
Clooney (and Amal) should check the homefront, for a change
and help Bradley, now Chelsea, Manning rotting in a tiny range
Hollywood’s racism is another issue for Clooney to work on
which he is aware of but has done nothing except to yawn
