Donald Trump, a real estate magnate and a celebrity, announced his candidacy for the United States president, for the November 2016 election, as a Republican candidate on June 16, 2015. His entire speech is full of arrogance and big rhetoric.

“Sadly the American dream is dead. But if I get elected president I will bring it back, bigger, and better, and stronger than ever before.”

“We are going to make our country great again.” “I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”

Blacks

His hatred for President Barack Obama is well known; he claimed that Obama was not born in the US. His views about blacks in general:

“Laziness is a trait in blacks.” “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

He took out full-page ads in 1989, in the wake of a rape of a white female jogger, demanding death sentence for the accused black teens. They were all later absolved.

Any kind of TV program which is related to colored people, in the highly white world of entertainment, annoys Trump.

“How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled ‘Blackish’? Can you imagine the furor of a show, ‘Whiteish’! Racism at highest level?”

Mexicans

Over 13.2% of the population, that is, blacks was already pissed off with him before his announcement. With his declaration on June 16, he alienated another 11%, that is, Hispanics of Mexican origin, when he said:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.

Trump’s defense of the above statement was more idiotic:

“What can be simpler or more accurately stated? The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.

His remarks in the past about Mexicans has not been generous either:

The Oscars were a great night for Mexico & why not—they are ripping off the US more than almost any other nation.”

“When it comes to immigration, you know that the 11 million illegals, even if given the right to vote — you know, you’re gonna have to do what’s right — but the fact is, 11 million people will be voting Democratic.”

Out of those 11 million, about 6 million are Mexicans.

This shows that Trump doesn’t give a damn about 25% of the population. For sometime now, the Republican Party has realized the importance of black and Hispanic voters and so other Republican candidates have tried to distance themselves from Trump. Those Republican candidates who are racist, don’t display their intolerance openly – because you can’t afford it if you want to run and win the election.

So why is trump displaying his racism so openly? Is it because he is sure of getting enough votes during the primaries to win the Republican Party nomination against more than a dozen Republican opponents? He and his aides must be well aware that he has no chance of winning the nomination because the party machinery is not going to let him win because it would like to see a candidate which, at least, outwardly, has the ability to project a personality which welcomes whites, blacks, browns, women, LGBT, and so on. Donald Trump is not that guy.

It may look like the bigot Trump got defeated by the big mouthed Trump but it is not so. And that’s why the question mark in the title, “Idiot Trump defeats bigot Trump?” No candidate who is seriously thinking of capturing the highest office can be so careless and heartless. For Trump, this presidential bid is a venue to vent out his hatred and then, probably, to lend his support to a covertly racist Republican candidate who has a better chance against a Democratic Party candidate, most probably Hillary Rodham Clinton.
