Time magazine chose Biden & Harris as its 2020 Person of the Year
Time’s editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal reasoned thus:
“For changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are TIME’s 2020 Person of the Year.”
is just talking about empathy enough to eliminate the furies of division?
or does it require much more work in an aggressive manner?
also, its important to go to root of the problem gnawing the country’s unity
the foremost problem is immense inequality of income/wealth/property
which ails common people of both parties: Republican and Democrats
unity requires creating some semblance of equality
equality which makes all people feel part of the same nation
both Harris and Biden talk a lot about the good things they’ll do
but their track record and the team they’ve chosen, belies their promises
many choices are warmongers who fantasize world hegemony
same is true of Biden and Harris who haven’t displayed a democratic nature
Harris/Biden don’t deserve to be 2020 Person of the Year
but then, Time magazine doesn’t deserve much importance
it is filled with long articles with little substance;
and is not objective when writing about the people they’re close with …
to use Trump’s word “fake news” i.e., not presenting truth about leaders
they ought to be calling out to do more for equality and improvement
of the masses mired in poverty …
