a revolution there never was
because a revolutionary he never was
some progressive changes he was begging for
were merely a mild movement for reforms
the Party elite, the media, and the wealthy fought back
the reformer refused to fight them till the end
instead he decided to extend support for his foe
“a very decent man who I will work with
to move our progressive ideals forward”
what planet is the reformer on?
that guy is not decent at all from any angle
not only that, he’s also very unprogressive
and stands only a tiny chance against the reigning bully
it’s a cataclysmic moment for the progressives
will they resist, fight it out, or quit the Party
or will just stay away again from the polling booths?
or all of the above and form a third party for the people …
