people have a tendency to feel great about themselves
about their nation
about their religion
about their civilization

powerful people do this powerfully
without giving a damn to logic

Indian Premier Narendra Modi
at a hospital re-dedication ceremony,
in presence of doctors and scientists, said:

“We worship Lord Ganesh.
There must have been some plastic surgeon …
who got an elephant’s head on the body of a human
… and began the practice of plastic surgery.”

He also said:

“We can feel proud
of what our country achieved
in medical science at one point of time.
We all read about Karna in Mahabharat.
If we think a little more,
we realise that Mahabharat says
Karna was not born from his mother’s womb.
This means that genetic science was present ….
[And so,] Karna could be born
outside his mother’s womb.”

so mythical god Ganesha
had a plastic surgery
and Karna was born
of Kunti and Surya or Lord Sun

I hope nuts from other religions
don’t come out with similar nonsense
such as
a Christian could argue that
surrogacy is a Christian science
(Jews won’t accept that claim
because Jesus died as a Jew
and Christianity got introduced decades later)
because God used Virgin Mary
as a surrogate mother

and so on
