Thanks to British journalist Anna Gizowska and Reveal Magazine, find out in this republished article about the girl band who are are drawing attention to worldwide violence against women

“Angelina literally RAN up to us in her huge heels and tight dress after we performed at the Summit with 2,000 leaders from around the world to shake all of our hands and tell us we were FANTASTIC!” recalls Jessica Greer Morris, the co-founder and executive director of Girl Be Heard, a theatre and performance girl group.

“Then she said: I will be following you. She and Brad Pitt were blown away by the show. Over 45 countries came up to us after each show who want to bring GBH to their countries.”

Angelina Jolie is just one of thousands who have been blown away by the difference this group of very special girls are making on their worldwide mission to raise awareness of violence against women. And they arrive in Copenhagen today.

Through theatre and performance, Girl Be Heard strive to empower and give a voice to women everywhere. And incredibly, they are mostly comprised of survivors of sexual and physical violence.
