Romney – A wealthfare beneficiary

God vs God’s Old Party (GOP)
God was mad when one of his devout believers “Rick Santorum” had to drop out of the race leading to the flip flopping believer Mitt Romney’s victory. So he sent Abraham’s son Isaac in the form of Tropical Storm to teach Romney and other non hardcore conservatives a lesson. Isaac wanted to payback God for sparing his life long time ago, but then, on second thought, God settled on ruining just one day of the convention because, after all, who else is going to continue invoking his name but Republicans.

Bain Capital
On August 30, the Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney officially accepted the nomination from his party to be its candidate against President Barack Obama.

Mitt Romney is running for president, the highest government position, and yet is never tired of talking about shrinking government’s power-as far as helping out the downtrodden is concerned. He wants the government to cut down the welfare programs which benefits poor people (victims of circumstances), and to teach them that it is their responsibility to take care of themselves and their own families. Unsurprisingly, he has never opened his mouth to talk about the wealthfare which the wealthy receive from the government.

The Indiana based Steel Dynamics, in which Romney’s Bain Capital invested $18.2 million in June 1994, was a public/private affair because the county and state, despite public opposition, pledged $37 million in grants and subsidies for the $385-million plant project. The Bain Capital made $85 million profit when it sold its share five years later.

When the Bain Capital made such a huge profit, did it returned the grants and subsidies it had received from the state and county? No. So much for less government and responsibility.

And did the government asked back for its money? No! And even if the government had asked back for the grants and aid it gave to the Bain Capital, and a part of the profit in proportion to the amount it had given, rest assured, it wouldn’t have gotten back–either the money it gave or the profit. You can’t expect the money back from the guy who refuses to make public his tax returns prior to 2010, and to disclose his money sitting in Swiss banks and elsewhere.

Listen to his ideas about free entreprise:

“When I was governor of our state, we competed aggressively to get companies to move to our state and provide benefits to them if they were to decide to bring manufacturing jobs, for instance.”

“That’s the nature of competition between states. I’m happy with competition and do believe in free enterprise.”

In simple words: Screw the government first and then blame it for the mess it gets into. This is similar to the Islamists’ idea of justice. The rape victim is blamed and punished on charges of adultery because she could not produce four witnesses.

Dad gave Mom a rose
Romney’s speech had nothing concrete to offer. Just one example will suffice to show how far removed he is from reality. Romney reminisced about his parents: “… every day Dad gave Mom a rose, which he put on her bedside table. That’s how she found out what happened on the day my father died – she went looking for him because that morning, there was no rose.”

So everyday, the Romney government, if elected, will supply every patient on Medicare with a rose , . The day the Romney administration ends Medicare program, the rose will be missing.
