Shri Kisan Baburao Hazare, for the present the Anna of India (the late Shri Annadurai had only a regional following), has declared that the loss of the Congress party in the Hisar by-election is related to its opposition to his Jan Lokpal Bill. He holds out the threat to “personally campaign against it in the upcoming Assembly elections” if it does not ensure the passage of the Bill in the winter session of Parliament.
I can see luminaries of the Congress rolling about in equal parts terror and laughter. Never before have they fought elections against men who campaign with fasts to the death.
