Dear friends,
Annie Nocenti and I created a petition entitled Stop Extrajudicial Killings and Enforced Disappearances in Balochistan, because we care deeply about this issue and the killings and abductions are accelerating dramatically.
We created the petition at change.org because there is a lot of cross-pollination amongst human rights groups. Already several people have signed from around the world whom we don’t know–they discovered the petition through the website. While petitions often don’t faze the recipients, we are confident we can at least create more awareness about this distressing situation. While there are a lot of issues to be dealt with in Pakistan, this is our first petition and we kept it pretty tightly focused on one subject only–hoping to generate more support.
We’re trying to collect 10,000 signatures, and we could really use your help.
