Human beings have always been fascinated by celestial bodies and have imagined and speculated life existing beyond our planet. The current technology has allowed scientists to observe that many stars do have planets revolving around them.
Some people go beyond the belief in life outside our planet. These people fervently search for any indication, however shaky, that unidentified flying objects (UFOs) exist (unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP), also known as flying saucers or flying discs) and aliens visit our earth. Others claim that they have been abducted by aliens and later released. Last August, there were claims of UFO sightings in Brazil and in October it was China’s turn to claim such sightings.
Can there be aliens and UFOs?
At first thought, the answer could be a counter question: Why not? There are 100 billion galaxies and each galaxy has between 10 million to 1 trillion stars. Our Sun is an average sized star and forms a part of the galaxy we call the Milky Way Galaxy, which itself comprises of a 100 billion stars. If one of the planets in our Solar system is teeming with life, then there is no reason to assume the existence of life on other planets in our Solar System or Galaxy or in other galaxies does not also exist.
In the past, there have been reports of scientists discovery of planets revolving around some stars. In June this year, the US space agency NASA announced that its Kepler spacecraft had observed as many as 350 stars that may be sheltering planets. This discovery lends some credence to the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
If somewhere there are indeed aliens who reside on these planets, it would be a bit presumptuous for us to assume that they would look like human beings or even bear some resemblance to us. If there exists a replica of our earth’s atmosphere and other conditions somewhere in the Universe (or Multiverse), then in order for a people like us to exist, every natural event there must have occurred exactly in the same manner and precision as happened during the formation of our planet earth. It should also be 93 million miles from its star/sun and should only have one moon and 8 planets (we had nine planets but Pluto has lost that status), and so on. Plus, its sun and moon should be of similar age and size as our Sun and Moon, in order for human life to evolve.
Unless we hypothesize that long ago, one branch of the Great Apes family–about which we have absolutely no knowledge–made such stupendous technological progress that it was able to migrate to outer space and inhabit that planet. It would also have required that they were so clever so as not to leave any clue for human archaeologists.
Is there life outside our planet?
And if there is, what kind of life would it be? It is conceivable that there be some form of life somewhere out there but we have not encountered them as yet. The current technology is not that advanced enough and so it inhibits our ambition of visiting other stars and galaxies. There is a possibility too that life may be so different than ours—and our imaginations—that it could be shocking, or may be unrecognizable to our eyes.

The depiction of aliens in Hollywood movies like “E.T.”, or the pictures circulating on the internet, or published in the tabloids, are basically a distortion of human/animal/bird/insect images because that is all that we know about.
Few questions
A few questions need to be asked in order to determine whether the visits by aliens and UFOs are mere claims or they do indeed have some truth to it.
The many claims of alleged sightings of UFOs and of visits by aliens lead us to believe that these aliens must be highly advanced technologically and have supremely fast travel vehicles than us. Our Voyager 1 spacecraft launched by NASA on September 5, 1977, has by November 10, 2010, that is after 33 years, traveled only about 10 billion miles (or 16 billion kilometers) and will leave the Solar System to enter the interstellar space (the space in galaxy unoccupied by stars or their planets), and has cited no life during its voyage. To put some perspective to the distance, the Proxima Centauri, or the nearest star to our Sun, is 4.2 light-years away, that is, 25 trillion miles (or 42 trillion kilometers) away. Light travels at the speed of 186,300 miles per second.
If there are indeed visitations, what could be the purpose of the multiple visits by such an advanced civilization, if one can use that term?
· If these aliens’ are evil they could have destroyed this planet long ago.
· If they had any ideological tendency, such as communism, socialism, or capitalism they would have sided with one or more camps to eliminate the opponent/s.
· If they simply wanted to dominate us, they could have easily done that–for the majority of the people it would simply have been a change of masters.
· If they wanted to befriend us, nobody would have stopped them from doing that.
· If they were on a religious mission from God—that is, their God—they would have kidnapped the fanatic leaders of all the religions long ago and would have propagated their religion on earth.
Another question: Do these visiting aliens or the aliens sending UFOs have any moral concepts of good and evil like the earthlings have? (Even though we earthlings do not practice them much, in theory at least, we do have elaborate sets of moral values.) Their pattern of abductions reveal that either they’re devoid of any moral values, because if they had even an iota of morality, they wouldn’t have abducted ordinary people but would instead have opted for people with power and money—unless, they have no such concepts. Or else they are in cahoots with the US government, as many people claim.
US complicity
If they were in compliance with the US government, the US would have long ago drugged those aliens, put them on the UFOs along with US scientists, would have found what galaxy and planet they are from, and would have stolen their technology. In that case, today, the US may be ruling our planet from the aliens’ planet/s, and not from Washington DC.
At least in this matter, this author can vouch for its innocence, and can with full confidence, say that there is no US complicity as far as the UFOs and aliens are concerned. The WikiLeaks has some US cables relating to the UFOs and it is going to release them. Let’s hope the US will be proven not guilty.
One other possibility–that is- IF any of the UFO sightings are real, is that these were developed by the US Defense Department in different sizes, shapes, and colors and are occasionally flown around to keep the US populace busy speculating on their existence. According to the Gallup poll, 71% of the people in the United States believe that the US government knows something about the UFOS but is not disclosing it to the people. Other figures: 12% claim that they have seen the UFOs and 45% believe that UFOs have visited our planet!

UFOs and aliens have not visited our planet
We don’t know whether UFOs and aliens exist for sure. Although we cannot deny their existence we cannot at the same time, accept that they visit us. The objects people have mistaken for UFOs can be a human made satellite, lenticular clouds, lighted trawler at night, meteor, and so on.
One important reality that should not be overlooked is that it’s not that easy to evade all the radars, satellites, military planes, spacecrafts, etc. on earth. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, the US is in alliance with these aliens and has knowledge about the UFOs, the question is what about Russia, China, India, Brazil, and other countries with advance technology? Their interest is not the same as that of the US and would have acknowledged the existence of aliens and UFOs long ago. This type of information has a way of leaking out.
