When it comes to fighting climate change and global warming, different sects of the Democratic Party have different approaches. Joe Biden, 2020 candidate, recently said he’d like a middle of the road approach to fixing climate change. In this Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez speech, AOC spoke out against this Biden approach, once again calling for the Green New Deal, explained as a robust policy plan to create renewable energy and jobs while fighting global warming. The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Green New Deal would not be a half measure. For Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, dancing around the big issues is not something she normally does. Joe Biden does not have a complete climate change police yet so we’ll have to wait and see what Biden announces. 2020 is already shaping up to be an exciting time.
