Trump’s hatred of Obama and the love of Jewish money and votes
is proving to be potent poison for the people of our planet
Obama loosened the economic noose around Iran and improved relations
Israel, the Israeli Lobby, and most Congress on the Lobby’s payroll hated it
Trump got the US out of the international treaty signed by Obama
and began imposing more and more economic sanctions on Iran
the goal is to provoke Iran to begin its “official end,” Trump’s words
a week ago, Iran’s second most important leader was assassinated
Iranian Defence Minister Amir Hatami declared:
“A crushing revenge will be taken for Soleimani’s unjust assassination … We will take revenge from all those involved and responsible for his assassination.”
Iran fired ballistic missiles on two United States bases in Iraq
it destroyed a few structures but avoided causing any human casualties
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif deescalated the tension:
“Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched,” Zarif tweeted. “We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression.”
Trump imposed more sanctions via Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin:
“We are also designating Iran’s largest metals manufacturers, and imposing sanctions on new sectors of the Iranian economy including construction, manufacturing, and mining. These sanctions will continue until the regime stops the funding of global terrorism and commits to never having nuclear weapons.”
the power equation between the US and Iran is very unequal
the US is a global terrorist whereas Iran is not even a regional terrorist
that honor belongs to Israel, a nuclear power with 200 nuclear weapons
Iran is surrounded by lethal foes: Israel, Saudi Arabia, the US in Iraq
so it has to be very careful in exacting revenge on the United States
even the entire Trump cabinet doesn’t equal General Qassem Soleimani
his strategies helped Iran to survive against the sanctions and enemies
Iran is in this tussle for the long run and has a record of fighting back
