ruling classes have, mostly, two aims:
to rule as they want to/to loot as much as they can
and to have no opposition to their excesses
patriotism/nationalism/religion/anthem/flag are their WMC
these weapons of mass control it uses to keep people in straitjacket

on November 29, 2016, at 3:55 am
the president-elect Donald Trump issued a tweet-proclamation:

Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag
if they do, there must be consequences –
perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!”

a year in jail!
loss of citizenship!
for burning a piece of cloth?

not an ordinary piece of cloth
flag is a symbol of a country/nation
but it doesn’t deserve that kind of a respect
it’s absolutely absurd

these WMC are also used to divert attention from issues demanding attention
such as poverty, inequality, joblessness, …

true patriotism is to treat each citizen as a flag
and to take care of each of the flags with care
if the flag is broken, weak, or unhealthy
go after the fat overweight flags
take out the excess and trim them
the excess should then be used to fix the weak, unhealthy, broken flags
thus you’ll have a country of healthy flags

don’t worry about symbolic flags
let people burn those flags – all of them
worry about the real flags of the nation/country
that is, the people – the human beings
